The HOA dues are mandatory and and cover the cost of maintaining the the asphalt paved roads, street lighting, and general HOA administrative costs.
HOA dues are based on the number of lots owned and whether there is a house on the lot. There is also a separate Road Assessment added to dues. The fees are due Quarterly as follows:
Dues: $26 per lot; $30 per house
Road Assessment: $8 per lot; $12 per house
For example:
Own one lot with a house:
$26 + $30 + $8 + $12 = $76 per quarter
Own two lots with a house:
$52 + $30 +$16 + $12 = $110 per quarter
Short Term Rentals are forbidden.
Garage apartments, tiny homes, and shed quarters are forbidden.
However, you can rent out your property on a long term basis, but you must notify the HOA and provide a copy of the lease agreement.
Our HOA was created to make sure our community has rules and restrictions that keep our property safe, neat and valuable. The Bylaws provide for the governance of the neighborhood association and its property. Those rules and restrictions are an important part of the legal document that created the Fox Point Club Lot Owners Association (FPLOA), known as Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, or CCRs for short. Title companies are now required to provide buyers with CCRs prior to closing but, sometimes they are forgotten in the mountain of paperwork required to buy property. In any case, Texas HOAs are required to record their CCRs with the County Clerk so they are available to the public. Ours were originally filed in Hunt County in 1964 with the most recent restated and amended in 2023.
You can download an official copy of the CCRs, the Bylaws, and other pertinent documents for Fox Point Lot Owners Association from the Documents page of our website. That copy is a scanned image of the official document with the file stamps and official markings.
